How it's built

Started at 1,000. Stablecoins and gold tokens excluded. Members are the ten largest coins at each update, and the divisor adjusts when they change so the line stays continuous.

Countdown

Bitcoin halving

Every 210,000 blocks, the reward for mining new Bitcoin is cut in half.

How it's estimated

Bitcoin aims for one block every 10 minutes, so the date is the remaining blocks × 10 minutes. Real block times vary, so the estimate drifts by days.

Crypto ETF · 2x leveraged Ether

ETHU: 2x Ether ETF

Aims for twice Ether's move on each single day, then resets. Over longer periods the result can be very different from 2× the coin's return.

Day change–

Figures as of Nov 3, 2026, from Volatility Shares's own published fund data. Flows are worked out from the daily change in shares outstanding times NAV.

Over four days the coin goes 100, 110, 100, 110, 100 and ends flat, while a 2x daily-reset ETF goes 100, 120, 98.18, 117.82, 96.40 and ends down 3.6%.
The coin rises 10% and falls back twice, ending where it started. A 2x fund that resets daily ends 3.6% lower, because each day's loss comes off a bigger base.

Why daily resets matter

This fund resets its leverage every trading day. In a steady trend that can work in your favor, but when the price swings up and down the resets cut into returns, so a 2x fund can lose money while Ether is flat. Try it on real prices with the leveraged ETF calculator.

These funds are built for short holding periods. Read the issuer's prospectus for the exact target, fees and risks.

Where the numbers come from

KryptoKap reads Volatility Shares's own published fund data once a day after the US market close. NAV is the value of the fund's holdings per share, not the trading price, though for these funds the two are usually close. Visit the issuer's site.

Questions about ETHU

Is ETHU meant for long-term holding?

Generally not. ETHU aims for a multiple of Ether's move on each single day and resets daily, so over weeks or months its return can differ a lot from the stated multiple, especially when prices swing.

Can ETHU lose more than Ether?

Yes. A leveraged or inverse fund magnifies daily moves, so in a choppy or sharply moving market it can lose far more than the coin itself. The leveraged ETF calculator shows how much on real prices.

How much does ETHU cost to own?

Check the issuer's site for the current fee. KryptoKap only shows fees it can confirm.

Who runs ETHU?

Volatility Shares, which launched it in June 2024. The issuer's prospectus has the full objective, holdings and risks.
