How it's estimated

Bitcoin aims for one block every 10 minutes, so the date is the remaining blocks × 10 minutes. Real block times vary, so the estimate drifts by days.

Over four days the coin goes 100, 110, 100, 110, 100 and ends flat, while a 2x daily-reset ETF goes 100, 120, 98.18, 117.82, 96.40 and ends down 3.6%.
The coin rises 10% and falls back twice, ending where it started. A 2x fund that resets daily ends 3.6% lower, because each day's loss comes off a bigger base. Free to reuse

Why daily resets matter

This fund resets its leverage every trading day. In a steady trend that can work in your favor, but when the price swings up and down the resets cut into returns, so a 2x fund can lose money while Ether is flat. Try it on real prices with the leveraged ETF calculator.

These funds are built for short holding periods. Read the issuer's prospectus for the exact target, fees and risks.

Where the numbers come from

KryptoKap reads ProShares's own published fund data once a day after the US market close. NAV is the value of the fund's holdings per share, not the trading price, though for these funds the two are usually close. Visit the issuer's site.

Spot alternatives

If what you want is plain exposure to Ether rather than a daily-reset leveraged or inverse fund, spot funds hold the coin itself, and usually charge a lower yearly fee. They aren't interchangeable with ETHD: a spot fund won't amplify or reverse daily moves.

Questions about ETHD

Is ETHD meant for long-term holding?

Generally not. ETHD aims for a multiple of Ether's move on each single day and resets daily, so over weeks or months its return can differ a lot from the stated multiple, especially when prices swing.

Can ETHD lose more than Ether?

Yes. A leveraged or inverse fund magnifies daily moves, so in a choppy or sharply moving market it can lose far more than the coin itself. The leveraged ETF calculator shows how much on real prices.

How much does ETHD cost to own?

Check the issuer's site for the current fee. KryptoKap only shows fees it can confirm.

Who runs ETHD?

ProShares. The issuer's prospectus has the full objective, holdings and risks.
